Unique dome energy-efficient house was built by Uzhgorod craftsman Valeriy Samoylov. His feature - the energy savings afforded by the spherical shape of the room, as well as the reduction in the area of bearing structures and the lack of partitions. The cellulose insulation and the floor is heated by wood-fired ovens, so that in winter the house is warm enough.
Outside the Ecohouse seems to be small, but really inside of house can comfortably stay the whole family. The house is light inside and comfortable. The house consists of one large room on the ground floor and a small room on the upper level. The basis of the dome home is a wooden frame, the details of which are held together by a special metal fittings, and its unusual shape makes it very long to keep the warm air with a temperature of about 26 ° C. As a result, home heating for 3 heating seasons will cost about 2000 hrn.
This home-built by Valery with his own hands, housing different from the usual, not only its appearance but also the content, because it allows significant savings. A creation of the spherical construction was inspired by the architect of the United States. Special education and technical manuals for the implementation of such projects, Valery did not have, so that he had to find the "experts" of green building in the Internet.
The benefits of a dome home:
• Energy efficiency. Dome House has a smaller area of heat transfer and improve the natural convection ventilation, so it is easier and cheaper to heat or cool.
• Availability. The cost of building a dome home is cheaper than building a rectangular building with the same effective volume. Due to its light weight design does not require an expensive foundation.
• High resistance to wind loads, thanks to aerodynamic shape.
• High seismic resistance. Spherical Fuller dome constructed of triangular elements, has a very uniform distribution of the load across the frame and the plane loses stability in the destruction of up to 30% of the framework.
• Acoustics. The domed building is less external noise can be heard.
• Free layout of the interior, not limited to columns and struts.
• Aesthetics and futuristic appearance.
Reference: House dome (or cupola housing construction) is considered a relatively new trend in residential architecture, however, it has a long history: the different people of the world have long been building dome home: wigwams, yaranga, gers. The ancestor of the modern dome housing is considered as Buckminster Fuller (born. Richard Buckminster Fuller) - American architect, designer, engineer and inventor.
